The Simon Says “Hello” communicator is not a device that I ever heard about, but I was pleasantly surprised to note how it changed communication for consumers at the time. The advertisements for the phone could be very laughable today but were very futuristic at the time. AR is being used for enhancing gaming and consumer experience while shopping. VR is quickly becoming a mainstay in entertainment, the military, education, and medicine. The wide array of uses makes these technologies crucial in the phase of technological development.

The other important technology is the 5G network because it is the foundation upon which people will be able to communicate faster, preferably through video calls. Just like smartphones which grew because many people were buying and using them, consumer adoption of the technology will drive its growth.

Finally, the last important technology is cyber security because it will be the most needed technology as the world continues to become more digitalized. Every new technology will require protection from hackers, thus its critical relevance.
