Antiquity

Various elements of antiquity were evident at the archeological site. A total of ten ancient houses were identified at the scene, with one being slightly larger than the rest. It showcases that the old-time featured people who valued communism and the well-being of each other. The uniformity of the houses suggests that the people living at the time had artistic conformity. The settlement pattern indicates that the people lived during the Neolithic period (Pages 143-154). The period featured people living in groups, thus placing the ten houses in the Neolithic era.
Other elements discovered include human skeletal material found in twelve spots. The total bones were 2000, representing the twelve individuals (Pages 133-140). One skull had a hole drilled in the cranium, while another had an artificially enlarged foramen magnum. Overall, the cite points out that humans at the time were involved in some conflict/war. The scattered skulls with a drilled cranium showcase that the individuals might have died fighting each other. The size of the drilled cranium and supervisors magnum shows that the individuals were adults.

Reconstructing Technology

The data showcases 20 projectile points similar to arrowheads. The evidence points out that the projectile points are likely to have been manufactured by the early man via the previous versions of bow and arrow technology (Chapter 10). The projectile points are evidence of the early man’s cognitive skills in manufacturing weapons.
There is also ceramic evidence of 500 potsherds, with 400 show evidence of riling. The evidence shows the use of wheel throwing technology on ceramics’ surface during pots manufacturing in ancient times. 400 is a large number, cementing the dominance of the technology at the time.

Subsistence Strategy

Ecofacts reveal the animal and botanic remains. Cattle shows 2500 (NISP) and 40(MNI). Fish shows 300 (NISP) and 1(MNI). The two-point out that they were domestic animals during ancient times (Pages 166-173). Their high number reveals a high level of consumption by human beings, hence domesticated. It reveals that they were a regular diet to ancient humans, who probably were pastoralists tracing 6,000 years back. However, the data shows snakes at 3(NISP) and 1(MNI), implying that they were wild creatures because of their limited number (Pages 175-182). The remains are probably those of snakes that were killed or died in the wild.
Botanic remains reveal edible plants, including 16 varieties of, 11 varieties of fruits, and tree nuts. The vegetables and fruits show that the early inhabitants were farmers (Pages166-173), focusing on agriculture as a livelihood source. The 11 varieties of fruits reflect the inhabitants’ keen interest in having a good to supplement their vegetables.

Social and Political Systems

Evidence of 10 identified houses, all similar in shape except for 20% larger than the rest, indicates the existence of a small band of people (Pages 124-129). The arrangement reflects the harmony and cohesion inherent in the band at the time. The larger house shows a government system, a symbol of the band’s head, which is likely to be a chief. Evidence of grave goods shows skeletons buried with items, with one having two pots with evidence of food and 50 shell beads. It shows the religious customs of the people at the time, the notion of life after death. The skeleton with more items symbolizes leadership at the time. The skeleton probably belongs to the groups’ leader because of the 50 shell beads’ nobility.

Ideology
Evidence of ten houses involved, all with the same design structure except one that is 20% larger (Pages 186-193). The evidence foregrounds the ideological perspective of socialism and communal worship at the time. The house’s uniformity reveals the inhabitant’s rich belief in working together for society’s greater good. The larger house is a symbol of leadership and religious reverence.
