Mr. Clark Simons has been working for an established construction company and is currently creating his own construction company. At the age of 43, he actually thinks that he has already reached the peak success of his career. When asked why, he said that he has actually been able to realize the best aspects of his life especially in relation to work. Working as a bachelor for over 15 years and a well-renowned architect who spearheaded good projects ever since he began working, he is actually noted for his specific attention to details when handling such projects.

He was also noted for his capacity of becoming a good leader to the people who work under his command. Notably, Mr. Simons have been hired repeatedly for several projects both small and large ones. When asked how he was able to survive the process by which such projects have been undergone, he just mentioned that it was because of the application of good strategy. He was defined to have a great impact on how the entire project was handled. He was given the chance to handle good individuals under his command.  It could be understood that somehow, his attention to details on the project has been carried into consideration effectively as he dealt with his people. He mentioned how important it was for him to know his people especially in line with their expertise in the process as well as he did know the project. This strategy allowed him to get the right people doing the right jobs.

To him, it was a crucial point of development that needed his attention as a project manager to note the characteristics and the behavior of the people working for his team. To make sure that he knows them, he handles a brief introductory schedule that allows him to understand what they can do, what their expertise are and how they are supposed to handle the pressure of the job that they are to face in relation to the project at hand. After at least two days of meeting personally with his people, he begins to see through the assignments that can be given to them individually. These assignments have been specifically examined especially when it comes to the compatibility that the tasks have on the people that he has to work with.

Promoting good behavior among his team members is a specific requirement that he had to give specific attention to. He mentions that somehow, he needed to make sure that the risks of human resource management could be easily handled especially in line with emergencies occur alongside the continuance of the project’s completion. The behavior of the people towards their assignment is an important aspect of managing the project as a whole. Getting the people interested in the operation of the project is always a crucial responsibility that project managers need to consider every time. In Mr. Simon’s understanding, being specifically certain about the people controlled the whole project’s success. Through the years of being an architect, he realizes that somehow, his role as a project manager took him to a larger aspect of being in the industry of construction, being relatively connected to the people. He finalizes the interview through saying that in any aspect of profession having good personnel relation as a foundation of growth and development is highly valued by any particular organization. When it comes to the aspect of project management, individual professionals are expected to step up and make a condition of environment for the other team members to follow the guidelines of a leader. In his case, Mr. Simons took the liberty of developing his capabilities as a leader through the years and such personal training paid off successfully and is giving him a good sense of control as he opens up his own construction company.
