Investigate the influence of stakeholder involvement in the success rates for change and development initiatives
The definition of a stakeholder is an individual entrusted to hold a right or legal share of something; a financial involvement with something for two or more individuals making a bet against one another; must deliver a legal or right share of something; a fiscal participation with something to the winner. This assumption is central to most contemporary paradigms linked to environmental management, such as, adaptive management and co-management is that the participation of stakeholders is a crucial component in successful attainment of programs of conservation. Consequently, prescriptions of many policies encourage the increase of stakeholders’ numbers, which lowers the standards and measures of conserving the environment (Friedman and Samantha, 2006).
Blue Lagoon Cruises needs to ascertain the claim of stakeholders’ involvement in influencing the high success rates for development and change in the organization. The research and development department carriers out a study to gather information and will apply case studies for the methodology. However, questionnaires can be supplied to all departments of the cruise in order to collect information that will aid in comparison of facts and observations. Scholars support this claim and agree that the involvement of stakeholders in such measures contributes greatly to the growth and development issues in the industry. As such, it is essential for all stakeholders to take part in these programs as it motivates other members of the community and organization to work together in attaining success. As noted, change starts with management therefore; stakeholders need to set an example to others of how this change contributes to the rates of success and development. An example of this is by embracing other cultures and appreciating their skills, knowledge and development measures. This will improve the economy of the country and existing relationship with developing countries around the globe (Friedman & Samantha, 2006).
In this section, it is imperative for researchers to formulate a hypothesis that will investigate the claims and be objective in ensuring that all aspects are addressed. This will touch on the political, social and environmental aspects of stakeholders in relation to management of natural resources. Issues introduced in this perspective include rewards and bonuses for employees who challenge the stakeholders with ideas that embrace development and growth in the company (Friedman & Samantha, 2006).
Is some form of stakeholder involvement a more effective approach to overcome resistance and create a cohesive problem solving synergy in Blue Horizons’ situation?
By involving stakeholders the management is showing their transparency in how they run the organization. This builds trust among stakeholders and management thus, they work together with their employees in identifying their strengths and weaknesses that will improve and enable them maintain a competitive advantage with competitors. They lacked advertisement skills and thus, market penetration strategies like planning and promotion activities will help improve the representation of the company publicly. In addition, the international share of the market will expand, and recognition will be both locally and internationally. Moreover, the leaders become effective in their decision-making and are stewards for their organizations (Enz, 2009).
Product development problem can also be resolved through offering competitive packages in their travel and tour department. This includes things like affordable packages for those visitors staying for long weekends, packages that cover shopping and dining options, which means they should be affordable. The customer service needs to be build in order to create loyalty and lessen costs of attracting, new potential, clients. The stakeholders can influence the government to develop more line products and provide better infrastructures for offered services in the tourism industry. Here, all parties experience the value of stakeholders in developing strategies and structure, in the firm (Enz, 2009).
For Blue Horizon, the involvement of the stakeholder will help in solving the problem and promotes cooperation among members of the firm. All employees will work together in trying to formulate programs and develop initiatives that will curb the problem. It is evident that a cohesive synergy needs to be formulated in order to resolve the existing problem in the firm. This allows for individuals in the firm, to accommodate the situation in their normal activities, which gives room for creation and formulation of ideas and policies that support the success of the organization.

Gives focus to stakeholders and the role they play in displaying change and development in the industry. Policies guide stakeholders in conservation programs that help in success achievement.
Case studies and questionnaires are methods applied in investigating the importance ascribed to stakeholders. Moreover, how they relate to change results and development programs. However, other research methodologies need to be functional in order to get precise results. Tests performed aim at showing how managers’ involvement in management of natural resources contributes to better management of the ecosystem. This relates to a bigger part of the tourism industry. Another test is how local-level stakeholders in the context of institutions affect their participation in the management of natural resources. |
Competitive advantage gained through identifying strengths and weaknesses.
Market penetration (primary) problems like promotions. Product development (secondary) problems engulfs tourism sector. Stakeholders’ value measured.
