Mission
To become the premier home care providers of choice by creating trail blazing customers service that enhance the comfort and attractiveness of our clients premises as well as making the clients entire premises comfortable as well as safe.
Vision
Our vision will be to create a point of first call for all homecare needs of all our clients and create a good customer satisfaction record. We will aim at acquiring and keeping a good client portfolio and ensuring that our clients are long lasting clients who take pride in our services and always come back for our services.
Strategy
The home care business is to be administered by increasing efficiency and reducing wastage of time. The ability to achieve this mission will be underlined by the following core competencies. One of the core competencies that our homecare business will build is filling its idle time through diversifying its client portfolio products. The diversification of the products ensures that the employees will be busy or in at work at all times since different clients need different services at different times. Idle times eats at the production capacity and the only way to maximize the productive capacity is through minimizing idle time since it leads to increase in fixed overheads per unit (BPP p 42).
To ensure good services to all clients company will seek utilising increased facilities and also by ensuring high quality services as well as diversifying its service offerings. Apart from all these efforts the company will include several other service enhancement opportunities through customer consultation this includes indoor as well as outdoor care services. For example if the firm was to hold serious client consultations and make educated suggestions on service improvements, we can keep an ever improving design portfolio and a very satisfied client portfolio.
The company will also look at all client requirements and feature them. Similarly we will invest our best efforts to customer sourcing and identification of the earliest opportunities to diversify our designs. The defining quality of an entrepreneur is the ability to identify opportunities and utilize them and develop them into a business that has good returns on investment (Money matters). The entrepreneurial ability of our home care business is underlined by the way we seek to identify opportunities and develop them into money making opportunities. This is underlined by our ability to identify the idle time reduction strategy and utilise it to our advantage.
Procedures
- The service link up will start with the initial client contact that the agency receives inquiries via phone, email, regular mail, fax or in-person. Contact can be made by anyone but usually originates from clients, potential clients, families, friends, neighbors, community agencies, organizations or co-professionals.
- The contact will be used to bring to the customer’s knowledge the services available as well as the establishing what exactly the customer needs.
- The customer will be provided with all the relevant information to enable them make a decision on their needs.
- All the information shall be supplied in documented form in the same way that the client sough the information. Those that sent faxes will get faxed responses while those that sent email. Once the information has been provided, a follow up will be done in one week to determine whether the information was received.
- The second step will involve reconnaissance visits to the prospective clients to establish the clients service requirements and evaluate any existing constraints. This will include establishing whether what the client needs can be met in a safe and efficient manner. To prospect for any unmet clients needs as well as establish if the clients needs fall within the scope of the agencies services and capacity. If the client’s needs cannot be met, the agency can decide to refer the client to a provider who is better suited to provide the services that the client is seeking.
Drawing a Service Plan
- If the Agency is able to provide the services requested, Supervisor shall develop an individualized Service Plan jointly with the client/client’s representative. According to Jones (2000), strategic management as the process through which an organization formulates implements and evaluates decisions that will help the organization to achieve its long-term goals (p34). The process involves tabling the organizations mission, vision and objectives after which policies and plans designed to achieve these objectives are developed and finally allocating resources to implement the policies and plans. Strategic management is a continuing process which evaluates and controls an organizations business, assesses its competitors and sets strategies to out-compete these competitors.
- The supervisor will therefore ensure that every service agreement represents the will of the customer as well as embodying the vision and mission of the agency. The supervisor upon drawing the service agreement will ensure that it is signed by him or her as well as the clients’ representative. The client’s representative will then be allowed to keep a copy of the signed service agreement.
- A detailed implementation strategy shall be drawn in line with the signed service agreement. The supervisor shall ensure that every little detail in the service plan is adhered to meticulously.
- Supervisor shall provide employees with the appropriate forms for documenting clients’ activities, progress and employee’s observations. These will be very vital in determining any amendments that might be deemed as necessary for service improvement.
- Employees shall be expected to not only follow the service plan but also to document the required information on the forms provided. The observations and records required will include any changes in the clients’ condition or the home environment that will be reported to the supervisor.
- Supervisor shall monitor services and conduct evaluative follow-ups at regular intervals to assess the success of service delivery. These regular assessments shall be the basis of evaluating progress made on the service delivery.
- Supervisor shall ensure that adjustments are made to services, where indicated. These changes will epitomise our flexibility and responsiveness to clients needs and thereby epitomise our sensitivity to client’s needs and requirements.
Implementation of Strategy
Strategic fit being the adaptability of the corporate strategy to the macro- environment in which the company operates, is at the heart of setting up and manning profitable and successful operations by the companies. The success of the adopted strategy is evaluated by the performance of the company so in question. We will therefore aim at evaluating our strategy through looking at our performance based on two key milestones namely financial returns and customer satisfaction. The kind of financial returns that we will record will be used as the basis for our budget justification. Being a profit making organization, we need to evaluate our performance in terms of financial performance indicators.
Strategy implementation involves allocation and management of enough resources which include; financial, Technology support, personnel, time and operational support. At chain of command is then developed and specific tasks assigned to specific groups or individuals. In order to implement a strategy successfully, managing the process is also vital. This involves evaluating the efficiency and efficacy of the process and making changes where necessary, monitoring the results and establishing control for variances. For successful implementation of its plans our organization should not leak the information to competitors and there must be consistency from every individual including the management.
Our penetration strategy will be through client engage and improved people outlook strategy, this will be through holding serious client awareness campaigns. Through these campaigns we will develop a client analysis matrix through which we will analyze the client’s business needs as well as look at what kind of a design the client deserves. It is through this analyses that we will be able to understand what the client needs and seek to introduce our different designs. While the competition will seek to market their designs to the consumers we will seek to have the consumers identify their needs and it is from these needs that we will develop the designs. The other factor that we will feature in our client analysis is an explanation of how our services will impact on the clients business or operations in general. We can raise this through tracking our customers and determining how our services have impacted on the client’s business performance.
