Business Plan Questions, Case Study Example

During the process of developing my business plan, a number of concerns were identified, beginning with the efficacy of the plan and its potential success in today’s business climate. Home health care is a critical component of healthcare practice; however, many agencies already exist and the challenge was to identify objectives and features that would enable the organization to stand out above the rest. However, as the plan evolved, I became more comfortable with the issues at hand and was able to make some sense of the ideas in my head. With this process, I sought to understand the potential impact of the business plan over a three-year period, and this was difficult to achieve because forecasting is a tricky area to consider. I struggled with some of the financial components of the business plan for this reason and was not necessarily secure in the numbers that were derived.

I also struggled with the creative aspects of the business plan and the challenges of making the plan interesting and unique from all others. I realized the critical needs of healthcare in modern society but was not entirely certain that I could create an environment that was financially sound and sustainable over a long period of time. Nonetheless, I recognized that any business plan is difficult to create and requires a significant emphasis on organizational operations and the knowledge and expertise that are available to run the business. The business plan required a strong and dedicated leadership team to carry out the vision, and it also demonstrated the importance of developing strategies that would enable these steps to occur. The length of the business plan was also challenging because many components are required in order to have a greater chance of securing capital and in achieving success for the business and its people. Most importantly, maintaining a focus on the customer was sometimes difficult, particularly when there were many steps required to achieve the end result. This business plan was a difficult task to complete, but it was also a great learning experience and lesson regarding how businesses operate in the modern era.
