A product cycle in a company represents the stages of the lifespan of a commercial product in the market. What is the difference in the meaning of “quality” from the marketing perspective vs. the operations department in a for-profit company?

Definitively, from the marketing perspective, quality represents the degree to which a product or service compares to the marketplace competition. The four elements of SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats)are essential in the SFAS (Strategic Factor Analysis Strategy) table since this study involves the measuring of the strengths and weaknesses of a company’s position. SFAS (Strategic Factor Analysis Strategy) is important in the assessment of a company through focusing on not only internal strengths and weakness but also on the external environment that a particular company operates in which is inclusive on the SWOT analysis.

Is a Portfolio Strategy about a firm’s products or is it about a firm’s industry? How would you know?

A Portfolio Strategy mainly focuses on a selection strategy with a viewof collective investments that affirms low risk while maintaining high return rates. It is about a firm’s industry due to its importance as marketing tool in providing a framework of viable options and addressing competences and prospective markets. A portfolio strategy is achieved over a long period of time through market probability outcome forecasts.

Core competency is a plan that consents to small businesses to providing value to their clients. A unique instance would be in the case a scenario of a technology firm which prospects to design efficient Internet search algorithms that are accurate for any related search.
