Influence of great depression

The emergence of great depression in California occurred in the year 1935 after the Detroit Tigers won the war series. The remarkable social-cultural change that occurred was the strengthening of families and several households that believed in the solidarity as a source of strength to the community in counteracting the challenge. In fact, evidence of mass migration that occurred affected the economy of California and several businesses faced the tight crisis that led to their closure. On the other hand, the advancement of the culture of despair facilitated the re-emergence of few stable commercial entities in the nation (Steinbeck, 2011). Thus, revives the financial livelihood of California.

Next, the economic decline compelled the government to limit the spending in education consequently facilitating the closure of several institutions. Furthermore, the depression facilitated a shift in the demographic trends as the males delayed their marriage. On the contrary, the rate of divorce for the married increased as the survival becomes difficult (Sparrow, 2011).   Hence, facilitates the practice of birth control. Besides, the advancement in communication technology that ensured the significant flow of information to keep the citizen informant occurred with free to air radio networks in place. Thus, advances the film industry in the region. Moreover, the occurrence of the dust blows facilitated the emergence of the extended drought that affected the productivity of most firms. Therefore, threatens the lives of agricultural communities to the crisis.  In fact, the challenges witnessed made the political class to formulate policies that caution the citizen in the event of a disaster.

Impact of World War II

The occurrence or World War II affected the entire region irrespective of locality of the state. Therefore, California had to incorporate extended efforts and coordinated plan with other countries to wage the war against the Axis power. To the advantage of California, the war terminated the great depression as the military spending by the states increased facilitating the reopening of weapon manufacturing industries. Hence, extends the rate of job creation to the citizen.  In fact, the principle of economist Keynes that suggest in case the government increases to a significant level the spending as the private sectors stay away from such moves generate an efficient economic recovery. Additionally, the occurrence of World War II facilitated the restructuring of most institutions and increased innovation in the weapon technology (Steinbeck, 2011).  Indeed, the development of future administrative, economic plans by the government that sustain the progress of stable financial institutions took effect during the dispersion error.

To suppress the risk to the economic and political infrastructure California had to engage the business community and organize huge groups to work closely with the War administrative wing. The increased demand for labor in the organizations facilitated the employment women and none—white in the group to pick up positions and facilitated the production desired. In fact, the emergence of war generated the equal opportunity regardless of race or sex. Thus, limits the extent of discrimination in California workforce.  The influx of migrants boosted the economy of California. Since, the migrants sort for elegant accommodation and housing facilities that compelled the nation to increase the production of more consumer goods and develop more housing. Hence, improves the employment opportunities of the citizen (Sparrow, 2011).

Lastly, the savings accrued during the War error was sizeable for most families to invest and the accumulation of food staffs made most people to abandon their work in the employment sector. As a result, the cost of labor increased for the benefit of the workers.
