Reaction Paper

Censorship is the process of blocking any information that is not fit to be released to the public. In the case of music and arts, some lyrics or part of the art that is not good for the public is blocked before it is released. Currently, music and art are the careers that many people are pursuing both young and adults. Censoring them will discourage them, and they might not be able to prosper in their lives. It is true that anything that is prohibited or censored will attract many people, as they will be struggling to know what it is. Censoring music and art should be approached in a friendly manner where those who are pursuing them will be satisfied by what the authorities recommend and how they should practice them.  The authorities who engage in censoring should encourage the artists and the musicians to know what they should incorporate and what they should avoid in their work as per the law. Those pursuing music and arts will avoid the scripts or parts of their work as per the law and continue pursuing their careers to prosper and earn a living in their lives.

Censoring is very important in the society as it controls or limits the level of practices that people can engage in their daily activities. The problem is how to approach it in terms of music and arts. Sometimes scripts or activities, which are obscene or contrary to the law, are censored, and it discourages many people in the society. Censoring works very well in music and arts, but the issue is how it is approached. People who are practice music and arts as their career activities should be incorporated when designing methods to censor music and arts. Musicians and artists will help in contributing ideas and opinions on how censorship should be handled. Since they are incorporated, they will be satisfied when censorship procedure is implemented on their work.

In conclusion, censorship on music and art should not be abolished but how it is approached should be reviewed. For censorship of music and art to be tight and effective, the respective authorities should verify the work produced before it is released to the public.  The musicians and artists will be satisfied, and the public will receive quality and harmless music and arts.
