21st Century Challenges

Business world has dynamically evolved over the last decade, as some of the business leaders who possess a vision for overseeing futuristic changes have survived this change effectively and successfully. On the contrary, many business leaders and tycoons left behind and failed to overcome these challenges. As of current, organizations need to prepare for traditional problems and challenges as well as for modern management challenges and decisions. This applies to even on those businesses that do not have any automation powered by computing devices such as computers, Internet connectivity along with Information technology professionals. For instance, if we consider the globalization issue, how one can address with the differences in time along with communication delays associated with the employees working in an area with a different time zone? The solution to this problem is only communication technology i.e. Internet. There are many video conferencing solutions available that can be utilized for live communication (Garvin, 2011). Moreover, official and critical documents can be transmitted securely via encrypted connections. All these examples are just basic solutions to these issues. Identically, a collaborative platform is also available for giving the opportunity to the project team to work simultaneously. If  this platform is Internet dependent, then security challenges also needs to be addressed, such as, Encrypted channels, Virtual Private Networks, Dedicated International Private Leased Circuits, Firewalls, Intrusion detection and prevention systems, Access management policy, IT security Policy, Acceptable use policy etc. All these components needs to be in place and updated along with robust security management (Mayrath, 2011). After incorporating all the security controls in place, organizations require an online presence both on the WWW and on social media as well. Therefore, all these initiatives must be governed by the technology personnel of the organization.
