Pages: 1

Words: 311

Essay

I am interested in studying civil engineering and would really like to obtain the career within this field at the University of Newcastle/Australia. Concerning my willingness to work as a civil engineer, I must admit that from the very childhood designing and maintaining roads, bridges, dams, etc appeared to be the matter of great importance to me. The thing is that I became aware of the significance of civil engineering from the perspective of up-to-date industrial development.

Obviously, I always wanted to get to know the technical dimensions within the area of civil engineering. From an early age my parents considered me as a person aimed to find out the way the surrounding houses were built. As for the school years, it was the period when I made a final decision to become a civil engineer.

Apart from my decisive understanding which career to choose, I would like to make mention that I also drew attention to gaining the work experience within this area before applying to the University of Newcastle/Australia. I used to work as an assistant to the civil engineer; such an experience helped me understand many technical elements of this profession. It is worth saying that the early comprehensive decision to become a civil engineer encouraged me to work hard in order to succeed in my future plans.

Regarding the issue which university to study at, I must admit that there were three major criteria I paid attention to; as for the University of Newcastle/Australia, this educational institution possessed a huge campus, amazing societal scene and, finally, great civil engineering base. Consequently, I did not have the alternatives while choosing the university, since the discussion institution emerged as a primary standard establishment. I reckon that my willingness to become a civil engineer is likely to make me an appropriate candidacy for the discussion course.
