There are many advantages for Ericsson utilizing the Amazon Web Service (AWS) platform for business needs such as better scalability, flexibility, integration, advance remote access and millions of transaction per minute. The Amazon Web Services (AWS( is a provider of an infrastructure web services platform concentrated in the cloud that is more cost effective than competitors, no upfront-fees, and no long term contracts. The AWS product has taken the approach of cost emulating the cell phone industry not charging up-front fees on the cost of starting the service. The Ericsson organization does not have to worry about exuberant operational cost because AWS is based on the amount of usage each month which is cost efficient for Ericsson. Another advantage of the AWS is the dependability of their network that can hold massive amounts of storage space providing scalability and secure operations. The AWS is very flexible allowing the business to build their own applications using Amazon’s platforms. Ericsson will have the advantage of processing thousands to millions of transactions per minute.
AWS’s model is categorized as a substructure that is a virtual platform that provides additional services such as automated billing and automated scalability. The Ericsson operations has the ability to incorporate existing platforms into the cloud including integrating web servers and MySQL services. The AWS’s model offers a more control to the business. The major advantage is the maintenance services AWS offer including technical support, maintenance agreements and consulting when needed. The Amazon Web Services (AWS) is dependable and robust because it runs a number of database solutions for businesses. The key benefit is database alternatives for businesses and developers. Ericsoon would benefit from the AWS because they offer several different choices of Oracle or SQL server based on the Ericsoon needs for scalability or storage. ASW offers remote access and on demand capabilities that will save cost to Ericsson. In addition, “along with a fully managed service that provides a schemaless database, reliability and more and a fully managed service that offers extremely fast performance, seamless scalability and reliability, and low cost” (Amazon Web Services(AWS),2014,pg.1).
The Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) is a basic simple storage space that does not have a lot of functionality except for storing data at low cost. The goal of Amazon Simple Storage Services (S3) for companies is to have the confidence that data can be backed-up without high cost. One of the advantages of the Amazon S3 is the platform provides an accessible, dependable, and economical data storage foundation that permits a business to develop a trustworthy backup business solutions. The secondary adaptability and manageability of the Amazon S3 is the massive amount of storage capacity without the rooms full of servers than need to be cooled. The Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) has the capability of storing over 1 trillion objects that can transit over low bandwidths that saves a business bandwidth cost.(Stackdriver,2013, pg.1)., Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) is certainly a popular choice among those who are looking to back up their system or store and analyze large amounts of data. With that in mind, we have decided to compile a list of tips to ensure that you are getting the most out of this storage mammoth.
The Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides adaptable and flexible capacity with minimal friction. “Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale computing easier for developers” (Amazon Web Services (AWS), 2014). The Amazon EC2 is a very simple interface that allows the business to control their computer resources. The Amazon EC2 will reduce the amount of operation time lost because of rebooting activities. This tool will quickly handle new server reboots with ease and speed. This product is cost effective because the business only pays for the capacity that is utilized.

Cloud computing is a new computing paradigm that is entering the lives of millions business users globally. In order to understand Cloud computing, it is best to define, before discussing the advantages. There is evidence from small business sellers of Cloud Computing platforms that 1200 businesses saved money, improve operations and overall improvement of workflow processes (Forbes, 2013, pg.1).
The cloud itself is a set of hardware, networks, storage, services, and interfaces that enable the delivery of computing to the entire world. The cloud refers to “the set of hardware, networks, storage, services, and interfaces that combine to deliver aspects of computing as a service (Skiba, 2011).
The cloud is a next generation platform that provides dynamic operational options, streamlines processes, and reduced costs. However, there are some disadvantages to cloud based computing is the securing of data travelling through the network. The business needs to speed the extra resources for robust encryptions and authentication protocols. A business recommendation would be to secure all data on the server as encrypted anytime it is in use on the cloud. The business may not have the capital to purchase servers or mainframes. The business may not be budgeted for a robust IT department. Cloud computing can provide that support that helps businesses avoid maintaining its own IT department. Ultimately, saving the company thousands in IT costs. The business may not be budgeted for a robust IT department. The cloud computing solution can provide that support that helps businesses avoid maintaining its own IT department.
