Research on a large company to see if you can find their code of conduct:
This rapidly advancing technological world seems too rapid and instant to keep track of what has become outdated and discontinued. Everything that was understood as recently developed or modern as recently as three to five years ago is now considered unfashionable, behind the times, old hat, antiquated, square, passe, or outdated. What’s more, all the most recent technology that we know as of today will be outdated within three to five years from now. Contemporary, modern, and cutting-edge fits the lingo of the 21st century. In 1995, when Starbucks Coffee began, they maintained undivided attention on customer service above all else, and that is how they became “Starbucks has become the most famous, and perhaps most controversial, brand in the global coffee industry” (U.S. Labor Education in the Americas Project [USLEAP], Fall 2010 Quarterly Newsletter). They have recognized and help USLEAP promote the ideology that “labor is not a commodity.”
The move from a mechanized and industrialized culture to a digital society has fundamentally modified what we consider these key-phrases: occupation, employment, profession, career, assignment, and vocation. What’s nice, of course, is that advancement and promotional encouragement is much more easily attainable, and will continue to increase as the world’s economy strengthens from quite a low that we all currently have. Starbucks has held philanthropic focus on this, meaning that they help to promote the welfare of others by donating money and knowledge (education) to worthy causes within these three continents and benevolently assist profgess within North, Central, and South America.
This loss of revenue we are now recovering from and facing will surely be compensated soon enough. The national economy will rise and fall, but Starbucks has maintained a sting grip on the most important aspect of business — customer service, which means warmly and respectfully regarding people as people. Moreover, despite that “businesses don’t consciously set out to harm the environment” (Fieser, 1998), the code of conduct maintained by Starbucks has indeed been and continues to be philanthropic.

The U.S. Labor Education in the Americas Project (USLEAP) is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit organization based in Chicago that engages a wide range of organizations and individuals in the U.S. and abroad to promote full respect for the rights of workers in Latin America. Founded in 1987 as the U.S./Guatemala Labor Education Project, the organization advocates for fundamental changes to U.S. trade policies, demands corporate responsibility, denounces violence against trade unionists, and conducts worker justice campaigns in the banana, flower, and apparel sectors. USLEAP seeks a global economy in which all workers, abroad and in the U.S., are treated fairly, paid a living wage, and respected by corporations and governments.
