This report synthesizes the responses of questions asked to Judge Fanon A. Rucker.  Judge Rucker is a municipal court judge for Hamilton County Municipal Court in southwestern Ohio.  Primarily, Judge Rucker hears cases involving troubled youth in Cincinnati as well as repeat criminal offenders that have maintained a longstanding history of illegal activity.  This interview focused on Judge Rucker’s family history as he comes from a lengthy background of lawyers in his family; his father current serves as a Judge on the Supreme Court of Indiana.  Many of the questions during the interview focused on Judge Rucker’s personal opinions of the legal system, his ability as a criminal justice professional to impact people’s lives and his strong influence in his local community as a leader.  Furthermore, the career and educational background he has endured is quite impressive and has been a major impact to each community he has lived.  Beyond his personal career and passion for the legal system, Judge Rucker also commented that his actions in and out of the courtroom greatly impact his community and he personally chairs on several local boards and programs that focus on keeping kids in school and out of the criminal system.  Juvenile crime in Cincinnati is some of the highest throughout the entire state of Ohio.
