Essay

In the modern computing world, acquiring the latest and most advanced resources namely in the form of hardware and software specification means a significantly deal in the effective and efficient completion of the processing task at hand. Depending on the situation and the particular nature of the need of a computer user, having the most effective computer setup in terms of processing rate is indeed an advantageous factor however this will still depend on the particular nature of the usage required. Indeed, for specific tasks ranging from basic computing requirement to advanced graphic rendering or system-wide network management needs, a particular specification must be considered in developing the computer setup matching the task at hand. In general consideration though, having a well-rounded and high-end computer in terms of the  most common requirements is still indeed a significant advantage to any user.

In choosing the most suitable computer for a particular need, looking through the most common specifications and comparing the significant factors for computing and processing rate are the most common consideration for many users. In particular, the processor hardware, storage, computing speed, reliability, built and design, and graphics are the most common fields most users look into in choosing and comparing computer set. In this paper, a comparison will be made determining the most suitable computer setup between three particular models considering significantly the factors most relevant for a well-rounded computing necessity. Among the models for selection are HP Compaq Elite 8200 i5 (Computer I), HP Compaq Elite 8200 i7 (Computer II), and HP Compaq 4000 Pro (Computer III).

Considering the factor of equipped processor hardware, the HP Compaq Elite 8200 i7 stands above its two competitors. The i7 core is roughly  equivalent to a quad-core processing unit with four cycle heads and with the hyper threading capacity of the said hardware which can further progress the unit to an equivalent of 8 cycle heads. The Compaq Elite 8200 i5 follows to such factor with the HP Compaq 400 Pro trailing behind with its Core 2 Duo processor which is an older generation system compared with the other two. Adding the cycle speed into consideration, the HP Compaq Elite 8200 i7 again speed gains the lead with its 3.4 GHz speed which is slightly above the first unit and significantly faster than the third unit.

As for many computer user, the processing reliability and efficiency of any computer setup will be affected with memory embedded in the model of which the higher the better. In this aspect, computer I and II both gain more favorably consideration as they hold 4GB memory twice as much as what the third model has in its setup. To effectively utilize such capacity, both models are equipped with 64-bit OS architecture giving better and efficient utilization of their memory capacity for processing under softwares built on such memory allocation system.

In terms of storage support, computer II stands far better than the other two with its 1TB hard drive space which twice of what its competitor possess. This will significantly give more storage freedom for the user enabling him/her to handle larger file quantity particularly on multimedia and backup fields. Regarding the optical storage medium built in each of the three computer models, all fare equal with their equipped DVD / DVD writer with support for Dual-Layer Disc for better storing capacity. For network storing and communication concern, all three are also equipped with equivalent generic Gigabit Ethernet hardware.

In the present, one particularly factor that is mostly being looked up by most computer enthusiasts is the factor of graphic hardware. Indeed, a better graphic device would allow wider choices for gaming and entertainment, higher capacity for graphic and multimedia design, and naturally better display when paired with a equally suitable monitor device. In this field, computer II is also rated best with its built-in Radeon HD 6350 graphic card compared with the two having only generic GPU hardware. The Radeon HD 6350 is a video card designed to deliver high-quality graphic results with maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 at 85 Hz with an installed dedicated memory of 512MB on a DDR3 64-bit module. With this graphic hardware embedded on the second model, its user can have a wider choice of advanced-graphic games, better entertainment result, and more efficient graphic design processing when paired with an advanced software such as the latest Photoshop version and others.

Looking through the operating system of the three models on comparison, all of the three computer models possess an equivalent professional version of Windows 7 with only a differentiating factor of memory allocation architecture as the two HP Compaq Elite 8200 are using 64-bit with the third having a 32-bit system. Such difference is actually required as the two HP Compaq Elite 8200 possess memory above the range of a 32-bit operating system. Though this maybe the case, advantage of such feature can likely be realize only when using a software design for a 64-bit system such as the latest graphic-design and movie-editing programs.

In conclusion, considering the basic fields and aspects that are largely significant for most computing needs, computer II or the unit model HP Compaq Elite 8200 i7 appear to be the best choice among the three. Comparing based on the issues of processing rate, memory support, storage capacity, graphics, and operating system, the HP Compaq Elite 8200 i7 stands as the most advantageous and efficient computer setup for a well-rounded user with particular interest on basic computing processes, gaming, and multimedia entertainment.
