Essay

Pablo Picasso-Guernica can be used as a contemporary art example. The painting was done on canvas by oil paint. Guernica by Picasso is a portrait of violence and chaos that was made in 1937 and was based on Spain’s Civil War. The painting propels an exceptionally powerful message to persons, and it is a representation of both the rebirth and destruction in contemporary times. It is a factual representation of the cruel impact of dictatorship on different regions of the world. Speaking on individual terms, the image’s expression was the dismay of the acts that were committed in Guernica, which were done overtly and intensely.

Political, philosophical, religious, and social contexts impact the art of today in that with any change in the aforementioned contexts, art also revolutionizes over time so that it can be able to match and depict the current worldwide austerities and extreme changes that take place today.

The basics and standard of what should be meant by art and even how art should be made were set by Baroque art. The artists of Baroque brought about various paintings by making a discovery of items like linear perspective, illusionism and shadowing. They led to the pushing of the boundaries of what was and was not accepted. Baroque architecture and art was often a representation of the status of a person and their societal rank. The architecture is a representation of a lot of diverse items individually and for culture. Currently, architecture and buildings in America appear to be made more frequently for a specific city, as opposed to an individual. Modern art is less known to the general populace as opposed to Baroque art. Baroque art mostly had symbolic connotations behind them, as opposed to modern art.
