CSI HAZARDS

Judging from the photograph provided, the crime scene chosen is a garage. Considerably, although the space could be considered opened and is free from air-seclusion, the different elements found in the shelves could pose particular dangers and hazards to the investigators handling the said location’s investigation and clearing. In relation to this concern, here are some of the specific matters that should be given specific attention to so as to control the occurrence of dangerous hazards during the actual investigation process:

Chemicals: Since it is a garage, there could be the existence of particular chemicals used for cleaning or for crafting [depending on the background of the owner of the place]. Some other chemicals may include auto-chemicals designed for cars or other tools and materials found in the area. Handling these substances properly would save the investigators from any dangers and from possibly tampering the whole crime scene.

Falling Objects: Considering that the shelves are high, it could be realized that several items could be stacked on the upper decks of the shelves. Extra care should then be applied when examining matters around the area.

Contaminants: Due to the fact that there are several substances that could be found in the area, particular occurrence of contamination should be avoided accordingly. Along with this is the checking of elements that could cause fire or explosions when mixed with particular substances used for lab-investigations.

Relatively, these three considerations mentioned herein are only a few among the other possible matters that should be given attention to when handling investigations in open areas such as the garage shown in the picture. With careful attention to details and specific consideration on specific matters such as that of the physical features of the area in concern, then handling safe investigations could be possible.
