Dangers of Cell Phone Use on the Road, Annotated Bibliography Example

The topic of research is an investigation of the dangers of cell phone use on the road.  It is inclusive of texting as well.

This report utilizes a simulation given to analyze the distractions on the road with cell phone use, via a driving simulation.  This report will be helpful in examining scientific literature as to the dangers of cell phone use.

This is another valuable scientific source, which identifies the amount of driver distraction of a cell phone call, this time in regards to texting, linking it to time taken off the road of a driver’s eyes.  This helps to ground in the additional dangers of texting.

This article is an opinion piece that looks at the legal ramifications of crime when one texting is responsible for a death.  This article will be useful in looking at the ramifications of offenders who text and drive, and commit serious crimes as a result of the danger.

The article focuses on the dangers of texting, stating it is more dangerous than drunk driving.  This scientific piece is another credible source to the grave dangers of texting and driving.

This is an opinion piece with very good statistics.  For instance, it mentions that accidents increased six-fold in texting compared to normal cell phone use.  This will help found the additional dangers of texting, beyond the normal dangers of driving with a cell phone.

This is a study by the University of Utah that found cell phone conversations more dangerous than drunk driving.  This along with the source on texting more dangerous than drunk driving will be very effective in assessing the dangers of all forms of cell phone use on the road.

This article contrasts the beliefs of Americans: that 89% believe it is dangerous, though 66% text while driving.  These statistics help compare the prominence to the beliefs of citizens.
