Steve Jobs management

Being the head of a particular office, institution, or company is one of the most challenging positions an individual can ever have. This is true, since all the decision-making responsibilities require the head to tackle, and if anything goes astray, the same head carries all the blames. Steve Jobs is one of those individuals, who have once faced the challenges of being a leader, however, due to his tactics and skills, he remains to be the most valued leader in U.S. with his university education, he was a highly valued manager, who had maintenance skills, and used it openly to demand for excellence from his staffs. Perhaps, the above unique personality is what gave him the name “a visionary” in relation to the Apple Company (Cusumano 26). Pursuing the above facts, Steve Jobs has been viewed as one of the most successful manager who had the ability of raising a company and maintaining its flourishing growth during his leadership.

Tim Cook management

According to the research done by James Keen, Tim Cook management has been proved to be more productive than Steve Jobs managerial skills. Notably, Steve Jobs according to reliable sources was the one who trained Tim Cook but he became more effective in his management skills surpassing the his mentor’s ability (Frizell 1). Nevertheless, he lacks the aspect of visionary that Steve Jobs had. This is shown when he fails to manage the company like Steve Jobs. However, as per his ability, he managed to be marked as a successful leader. Predictions has it that, he adhered to what Steve Jobs gave him before departing that he should make the right decisions pertaining the position he holds in the office.

Mark Zukerberg management

Mark Zukerberg is also among the few who had to face leadership challenges, since he is noted as one of the successful managers U.S department has had. When compared with the above two, he was rated as the best in the social work industry. Nevertheless, just like the precedent leaders, he faced criticism in running Face Book Company (“Facebook Head Donates $500M To Foundation.” 45). Face book, is ranked the as the widely spread and more grown company in social dais making him to make vast decisions daily. On the other hand, this has made him gain popularity but with many challenges. Considerably his company has really grown globally and the college graduate has created a thing that many have not attained in their lives.

Anne Mulcahy management

As the CEO of Xerox company, Anne Mulcahy has managed the company from falling and raising it to be one of the most innovative and profitable company worldwide. Her skills are adorable of all the above managers (2009 Chief Executive of the Year: Xerox’s Anne Mulcahy passes the baton to Jim Skinner, CEO of McDonald’s 68). This distinguishes her from the rest because she has the ability to bring revolution in the company and making it to rise again.

Ursula Burns management

Ursula Burns, the manager of Xerox stated that she has received many leadership advises but she is the final decision maker. It shows she was a leader with stand, a fact that gave her an upper hand among the rest (Encouraging innovation: O&A with xerox chairman and ceo ursula burns 30). Conversely, she had to stay on the track by considering the knowledge and skills she has learned on leadership. Burns has emerged a tough leader to date who faces every challenge positively.

Charlie Wilson management

Charlie Wilson who as a successful engineer and businessperson rose through ranks at General Motors soon after he lead other employees of Delco-Remy of Indiana to manufacture the ignition systems for GM automobiles. Following his successful leadership skills and managerial philosophy, he was promoted to the GM headquarters in Detroit and soon before the World War II; he rose to be the company’s president. His inspirational industrial management skills motivated the employees and thus the increased productivity in the company (Bruce 120). Wilson’s abilities later saw him appointed into one of the department of defense when President-elect Dwight Eisenhower took over power after the world war in the US.

Dan Akerson leadership

Dan being finance manager and electrical engineer by training has found himself as one of the top managers in telecommunication industry. He was ranked as effective leader since his leadership is by example and not dictatorship. He led telecommunication industry from 2010 to 2014 (Strong product is vital to balancing pricing, share; Q&A, DAN AKERSON, CEO, GENERAL MOTORS 68). Additionally, during his error he made General Motors to grow and become one of the most reliable motor industries.

Mary Teresa Bara leadership

Being the next General Motors CEO, Mary has risen with different skills in leadership, challenging the next generation of motor industry. In this regard, she saw the necessity of improving transport sector by inventing paper sailboat race for fun (Barra 1). In fact, this shows how ambitious she is as well as the ability of bringing new leadership in motor industry.
