Drugs in the LGBT Community, Reaction Paper Example

LGBT communities are most often than noted for their liberal behavior as well as for their lesser concern for what the world says about their standing in the society. Practically, through time, LGBT has become an accepted group of individuals in the community. In fact, their influence could be seen to have a great impact on how the world develops especially when it comes to their behavior towards the consideration of humans about what is good and what is not especially in terms of dealing with emotional and romantic aspects of showing their feelings to their fellow.

Pressure is however a constantly existing element in the community. To deal with such situation, drugs has become an escape for many of the members of LGBT. As observed, LGBT members are most often than not the buyers of drugs and users rather than being the ones working behind the situation. The development of such notion introduces a sense of distinct control on how LGBT’s are exploited and/or abused by the  outside forces thus affecting the way they behave and the way they face the different challenges that life offers.

Through observation, it has been found out that LGBT members are often given the chance to expand their options; however, due to social pressures, most of the said individuals belonging to the said group often impose a definite course living that makes it easier for them to engage in promiscuous acts often leading to relationships that are usually related to drug use and distribution. With much desire to be accepted, these individuals become more prone to becoming addicted into the substance thus calling for a sense of distinct control on the situation especially for those who have the desire to make a name in the community accordingly. In relation to this research, it appears that the rate of drug use among LGBT communities stand at the highest in South Florida.
