Educating and Caring for Young Children, Research Paper Example

Pages: 1

Words: 288

Research Paper

Most people come to an understanding that the first years of an infant’s life are without a doubt the most significant in terms of what they discover, learn, and observe and into what personality they eventually acquire. Parents desire to provide their children with a strong boost in life, however are occasionally obtaining contradictory advice, resulting into misunderstanding of caring and educating their children.

From a parental point of view, showing love and affection are the building stones of any relationship between a child and parents. Giving attention and talking to a child, listening, encouraging, and improving an infant’s self-esteem should be the everyday practice of parents, who care about their kids. Most adults are more knowledgeable than preschoolers and are able to take satisfactory care of their fundamental needs. “Yet research consistently shows that highly educated and professionally trained teachers provide better quality programs, increasing the likelihood that children have the cognitive, social, and emotional skills necessary for healthy development and school success” (Bowman, 2001). Successful learning in school starts with a healthy youngster in a kindhearted family acquiring the necessary elements of growth. Nevertheless, good studying in family does not automatically train children for school. Due to parents being unaware of the difference between educating and caring for children, the vital need for attaining skills and knowledge related to school is overlooked. At the same time adolescents gain social, physical and subjective ideas when integrated into daily routine of family life.

Therefore, we can drive a conclusion that child care and education are interrelated and should be integrated into the life of a child at a timely and professional manner.
