Who Is Jesus Christ and What Is His Mission to the World? Essay Example

Being born by the virgin, Jesus Christ was the Son of God. When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, the star has appeared in the sky. He was proclaimed to be a king of Jews and was sacrificed to save all people on the Earth. Jesus was tested by the Devil and remained pure. People argue about the mission of Jesus in the world. However, He himself stated: “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 5:11-13) His real mission was to die on the cross, so that people could escape punishment for their sins. Moreover, He was the gate to eternal life. Those who believed in Him would find internal peace and forgiveness. Jesus was born to teach people to follow commandments of the Lord and live rightful life. “He was supposed to take the place of the Hebrew sacrifice, the lamb, and he is called in the New Testament the Lamb of God.” (Church of the new birth)
