Lava flows in an outpouring movement. It was created during the effusive non-explosive eruptive volcanic phase. As lava movement flow ceases solidification occurs to forming igneous rock. Precisely, the terminology lava flow is an abbreviation for lava. When volcanoes erupt they produce a mixture known as volcanic ash and tephra, which no longer is referred to as lava flows (Bundschuh & Alvarado, 2007).

Pyroclastic activity encompasses a flow from Mount Vesuvius which destroyed the Roman Towns of Pompeii and Herculean, killing 16,000 people. They were covered in plaster castings. Precisely, it is a scientific term describing a pyroclastic density current, which is a propelled hot swift-moving gas and rock. Collectively they are called tephra. Importantly, it moves at a velocity of approximately 700 km/h (450 mph. Also, gas temperatures could reach 1,000 °C (1,830 °F)(Bundschuh & Alvarado, 2007).

Piousness gases emanate from volcanic eruptions. These chemical compositions are found in volcanic cavitiesand rocks. Gases are also dissociated or dissolved in magma and lava. They often poison a number of people, in close proximity to the volcanic eruption location. For example, in August 1986, a dormant volcano in Lake Nyos in the Cameroon Islands of West Africa erupted. Over a period of time carbon dioxide escaping from the crater floor accumulated in the lake sediment and the bottom waters of the lake. On that August night, with little warning other than loud rumbling, Lake Nyos released a misty cloud of dense, mainly carbon dioxide gas. Nearly odorless the cloud flowed from the volcano into valleys below, displacing the air. As the cloud lost its water droplets t became invisible, spreading silently through 5 villages. The cloud flowed 14 miles from Lake Nyos killing 1742 people and an estimated 3,000 animals(Bundschuh & Alvarado, 2007).

The reason for me choosing this concept is because I think it is important. Around the world there are volcanoes that have erupted and killed millions at one flow. There are other like the one in Soufriere, St Lucia that has not erupted for hundreds of years, but lava keep boiling from it all the time. Cooling lava lakes form around the site. Many believe that by bathing many diseases can be cured (Bundschuh & Alvarado, 2007).
