Essay

Electric cars are cars propelled by electric motors running on rechargeable batteries. The functionality of these cars is similar to the gasoline-propelled cars. These electric cars, however, limited in availability and the production is relatively low now. The costs of these cars are affordable contrasted to benefit from the cars.

The basic advantage of these cars over the other cars, which use fossil fuels, is that it is environmentally friendlier. The emissions from these vehicles eliminated, and the car runs on clean energy. The environmental impact of the use of these vehicles is extremely beneficial in reducing the effects of greenhouse gases (Westbrook, 2001). The cars are relatively silent, and there is remarkably little noise from the running of the engine. The engine noises eminent in gasoline-propelled cars reduced and eliminated altogether.

The maintenance of the cars is also minimal as there are remarkably fewer parts running compared to the gasoline engines. The maintenance of the cars is at a minimal rate, and the cost of maintenance is affordable. The advanced technology employed in the manufacture these motors reduce the number of parts functioning in the car. There is little maintenance required due to few parts that run the motor.

According to Georgano (2010), the total operational cost of these cars is also relatively low due to the reduced wastage of energy. The energy produced by the batteries fully utilized, and this is evident in the lack of omission from these cars. The batteries used to power these cars are recyclable, and this is another milestone in the reduction of pollution. The recharge of these vehicles is from a clean energy sourced, and its functionality is clean.
