The songs that I analyzed are more similar than different. Elvis Presley’s “It’s alright mama” has a verse chorus and a fast tempo, just like Jerry Lee Lewis’ “Great Balls of Fire”. However, they are different in some ways as well. For instance, while both songs are about love Elvis’ song is talking about the relationship between him and his parents regarding his choices in love while “Great Balls of Fire” is talking about the feelings of passion that a woman can stir in a man. Also, while both songs have a quick tempo, they each have different chorus and melodies (Melody recognition).
