As projected in a guideline format the purpose of this DNP program/project is to elevate students into nurse leader and scholar-practitioner roles. Ultimately, graduates are expected to demonstrate scholarship in execution of evidence based protocols in nursing interventions by conducting scientific research and applying results to their practice(Walden Doctoral Program 2014).

Essentially, the DNP project gives students opportunities to apply various research methods, articulate concepts, utilize models, and explore theories in their practice. It alsooffers student mentored practical learning experiences; provides precise evaluations of a student’s understanding of concepts while applying systemic inquiry to nursing practice. Ultimately, the DNP Project aims to prepare doctoral students with the knowledge and experience to positively impact health care quality. This is expected to be achieved by integrating knowledge gained from research studies to improve health care delivery within the science.

My project of interest is employee retention, which will necessitate engaging in-depth research to create an appropriate methodology that will deliver valid results.
