Ethics of Employee Commuting, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 338

Essay

What elements would you use to describe the culture at Safeco?

Employee-centered care is what makes up the culture of Safeco. It does create a more workable environment for the workers especially as they are being shown the care and attention they need to assure them that they are being taken seriously by the organization as important parts of the business and not just as mere employees.

The video mentions corporate tax incentives as one reason for Safeco implementing the employee commuting program. Obviously, the program is not “free” even with a corporate tax incentive. List three costs associated with this program and three benefits associated with this program. How does the company justify such a program?

The company obviously pays more for the program to pull through. Nevertheless, it is understood as an important investment on the part of the administrational responsibilities especially in making sure that the business is able to provide a definite foundation for its employees. The organization also obviously embraces a definite form of adjustment in operations to make sure that the program is pursued accordingly. Third, the business is expected to make a definite turn on how the employees’ points of satisfaction are served well.

As mentioned earlier, the situation calls for a definite sense of control especially that it is seemingly considered as an investment on the part of the investors. The benefit of this expense could be considered in a three way perspective: 1) increased employee satisfaction; 2) faster turn out of performance because of lack of excuses on transport issues; 3) effective control of resources based on dependable options of operations completed by satisfied employees.

What is your opinion regarding the ethics of Safeco’s employee commuting program?

The company is able to respond to their overall corporate responsibility based on ethical values of putting the needs and demands of the employees first in line. It is assumed that with this consideration on matters, employees would of course be further empowered to deal with the situation and become assets to the operations of the business.
