Poland is considered “Americas Trojan horse” because it acts as America’s access channel to the European Union. There is a significant similarity between the activities of Poland and that of a computer Trojan horse. A Trojan horse is a malware that achieves restricted entry but pretending to perform desired activities. This situation is similar to that of Poland in regard to the USA and the European Union relations. Accordingly, Poland exhibits policies that are not similar to other members of the European Union in its relations with the USA. Whereas the members of the European Union are guided by a similar policy, which does not attach a lot of significance to relations with the USA, Poland has a different policy, which values its relations with the USA. This position by Poland places it at a questionable position in respect to its commitment to the European Union.

Although the system of vouchers and coupons was common in the privatization, in Eastern Europe, this method was not entirely effective. The downside of this approach to privatization, which attaches to the value of the vouchers, is that the individuals holding the vouchers are not willing to lower the price of the voucher thus the shares remain constant. This situation results because the individuals holding these vouchers are mandated to purchase them and; therefore, they aim to retain its worth. An alternative system of privatization is share issue privatization that involves trading the shares on the stock market. This system of privatization facilitates competitive pricing of these shares, which solves the problems associated to the voucher system of privatization.
