The Ganesh Festival

Since ancient times, people have always been performing festival night events in their life. The festival night event is considered necessary within the Indian community since it is part of the Indians’ culture. However, different people attend the festival night for various reasons regardless of their occupation. In most cases, the festival night event is only meant for the adults due to their better understanding and interpretation of the festival night event’s performance. The report defines how the Indian community is organizing a night festival event. Also, the report illustrates the strategies taken by the organizing body in preparation for the festival event. It also defines how the various measures were considered before the performance of the festival night event. Additionally, the report illustrates the different aspects that positively influence the festival night’s performance within the Indian community. The festival night event is perceived as an important event due to its impact on the Indian community. The success of the festival night event will be determined by the effort applied during the organizing body’s planning process. Adequate planning will be considered an essential aspect towards the achievement of a memorable festival night event. The report also illustrates the different elements that positively influence the festival night’s performance within the Indian community.  (Richard et al., 2014).

5Ws+WOW Factor

What

The organizing body will develop a dinner event. According to the Indian norms, people will mark the festival in various ways, such as prayer—celebrations and submerging of deities.  During worship, the Mantras prayer section will be outlined so that the attendees will be brought closer and to their god Ganesh. Additionally, the prayer section’s outlining will facilitate their intimacy with the Ganesh god (Husken, 2020).

To mark the celebration, the Ganesh favorite dishes such as Modak and Korai will be prepared for devotees and other visitors. Additionally, the festival will conduct the rituals on deities by submerging the already made idol in the water. The symbolic Ganesh statue made of clay will be immersed into a water body. The attendees will watch as the relevant people perform the rituals (Shinde, 2015).

Why

The event aims to assemble the Indian community to celebrate the Indian cultural day and provide them with an Indian cultural night. Additionally, the dinner will give them Indian music, games, and play cards. The Indians are known to have fled from their country in search of a better life, hence the conclusion that most of them are generally busy with their daily activities and lack time for recreation. Therefore, the Indian dinner party will be the best event to offer them an outstanding, memorable event.

Who

The event is primarily targeted at the Indian community-based in Parramatta Sydney since where it is placed, most Indians reside. The event will mainly target young people above 18 due to the various activities expected during the festival dinner.  Additionally, the event will be necessary for men and women to remember and celebrate the Indian festival day. The organizing body will consider that most Indian youths are university students and that most men and women are full-time workers. Hence the dinner festivals will be beneficial to those willing to take a night away.

Additionally, the party will promote the social interaction of the Indian community members. The social interactions will help maintain unity among the Indian community (Malwade, 2018). Will be saved from their sins and equipped with esoteric knowledge. The idol’s submerging into the water body will signify a form of worship to the Ganesh gods. Also, the submerging will be performed to reflect the creation of a new Ganesh god (Malwade, 2018).

Where

The event will be held in Parramatta Sidney. The location is preferred because most Indians reside in this area, and therefore, the need to consider their proximity to the location. Also, the Parramatta has been utilized for other past and successful events, thus selected for night festival events. Additionally, the city has suitable grounds to favor the festival’s performance without limiting the invites’ number and devotion to the festival. Also, the town has several Ganesh statutes that will enhance proper comprehension and interpretation of the Ganesh festival’s actual meaning (Bengamiet al 2020).

When

The dinner festival will be held throughout the midyear season in August. The particular date will be 22/8/2021. During the summer season, the festival will accommodate many attendants due to the friendly and conducive weather conditions experienced within the summer season. The festival dinner will be held during the first night as per the Indian culture.  Also, the festival will be conducted in august since it’s convenient for most people, unlike in December in which festive activities are conducted. Additionally, the Indian community perceives August’s month as the month of birth and the beginning of a new lifestyle, hence driving the August festival (Husken, 2020).

Wow Factor

The festival will be unique and memorable due to the availability of an eco-friendly and the tallest idol made of the Ganesh gods’ recycled materials. The availability of one of the tallest Ganesh idols will be fascinating and impressive to the festival attendees. The making of the standard through recycled materials will create long-term memories for the Indian community. The creativity involved in making the tallest idol of the Indian festival will generate and maintain the festival’s uniqueness with better memories (Wongkalasin, 2017)

Operational Feasibility

To achieve a successful festival night event, few pieces of equipment will be required. The sticks will be required for making idols since they serve as the foundation in making the idols that will be used during the festival night event. Also, rice husk will be required to mix with the local clay to make the idol stiffer and long-lasting. To implement a successful festival night event, some employees will be required for the proper arrangement of the Ganesh idols and preparation of the Indian foods that will be served during the dinner. The people with outstanding abilities to preside over the festival night event will be essential in ensuring that they get a memorable and unique event. The event will be achievable with the adequate resources provided by the organizing body since they will be enough to cater for all the expenses incurred during the festival night event. The organizing body has adequate time for effective planning and implementation of a memorable event. The ample time will enhance proper planning will be essential to ensure that enough resources are collected before the event’s actual date. The organizing body has organized various experts that will be crucial for implementing a memorable festival night event. The financial experts will provide financial advice that will assist in implementing a unique and memorable festival night event. Despite the available internal organizational resources, some additional resources will be needed to implement a successful and memorable festival night event. The organizing body will involve individuals with a high level of creativity to ensure that a successful festival night will be achieved. The stakeholders have provided their maximum required support to ensure that participants will enjoy a unique festival night event. The stakeholders’ provision of resources and their involvement in the event’s planning is enough support for the implementation of a successful festival night event (Washington, 2014).

PESTEL Analysis

Political Factors

The organizing body will analyze the government’s involvement in the festival through political stability to favor its performance. The peaceful coexistence within the Indian community will positively influence a very successful festival night event. Additionally, the organizing body will examine the existing government policies that will facilitate the event’s implementation. The existence of flexible governmental rules will enhance the performance of a memorable festival night event.

Economic Factors

The event’s account will involve analyzing specific threats such as increased tax rates that might have adverse effects. However, the event’s history will be associated with particular opportunities, such as increased income levels and improved saving habits. High taxes towards the festival night will be a discouraging factor towards a memorable festival night event.

Social Factors

The assurance of community safety will promote a sense of satisfaction during the festival’s dinner. The organizing body will implement the essential measures towards ensuring that the safety of the Indian community is not compromised during the festival night. However, lack of adequate income may inhibit the success of the festival dinner due to financial constraints. Therefore, the organizing body will make sure that there are enough monetary resources for the performance of the festival night event.

 Technological factors

The incorporation of modern technology will assist in the proper performance of the festival dinner. Additionally, the use of contemporary technology will facilitate the realization of a successful event. On the contrary, resource depletion may act as a limit towards the completion of the festival dinner. The use of modern technology will facilitate a memorable and unique event. Additionally, the use of modern equipment during the festival dinner will help achieve a successful event.

Legal Factors

The existence of consumer protection rights will ensure that the parties involved in the festival diner will be protected without any violation. The security law will help towards obtaining funds from various investors concerning the event’s performance.

The organizing body will facilitate the assessment of any threat linked with the performance of the festival dinner. The appropriate strategies will be employed towards threat reduction and avoidance through the festival’s night from the assessment results. Through the risk assessment, the professionals will advise the organizing body according to how to prepare for various risks and implement the risk avoidance measures to minimize any risk during the night of the festival event.
