Reaction Paper

Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD) remains an inadequately comprehended concept. Our current knowledge regarding this concept is consequently reflected in its new name – Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) (Kluft). Basically, current thinking imagines Dissociative Identity Disorder as a reaction to trauma, similar to temporal lobe epilepsy and a concept that likewise happens autonomous of the existence of either trauma or epilepsy.

It is not simple for a psychological researcher to acknowledge the reason of the substitution of the awareness of an alternate entity in the spot of the cognizance of the particular case that has been unable to hold the connection inside the cerebrum with sufficient positiveness (Spira). However, such cases often happen, prompting a significant portion of the issues of purported ‘split personality,’ which is actually the ownership for a specific physical body by the two persons – one giving the life stream (secured in the heart) and the other giving the stream of cognizance (moored in the cerebrum) and in this manner controlling the body, guiding its exercises and communicating through the element of speech (Bailey). Often, this ownership interchanges between the two people concerned. More often than not, however, more than two are concerned, and a few persons upon the internal side of life utilize the same physical form. At that point you have multiple personalities (Bailey).

As stated by esotericism, individuals are included five parts or “forms” – the physical body, the etheric body, the emotional body, the mental body, and the spirit (Spira). The physical body is, obviously, the only tangible body. The other bodies are immaterial and intangible, which cannot be seen by the naked eye. The etheric form is specifically noteworthy in the investigation of DID and it is imperative that unmistakable attempts to ultimately substantiate its presence be made. The etheric form, often referred to as the fundamental figure “is a material body, though composed of subtler material than that of the dense physical body. It is essentially a transmitter of energies and not a generator; it is a clearing house for all the forces reaching the physical body.”

A deeper examination of the nature and state of the etheric body could prompt a more amazing comprehension and more successful medication of numerous restorative and mental issues. Yet the most vital conclusion might be the distinguishment that learning and understanding of the subtle world (metaphysical) can direct and guide objective, experimental investigation, handling a more stupendous determination of the deepest human issues.
