Lab Report

Vinegar is the common name for the household compound which is a mixture of water and acetic acid. This mixture is normally used for cooking, food preservation, and on some occassion, for cleaning purposes due to its acidic nature. In this solution, the water is mainly used as a buffer to dilute the concentrated characteristic of its primary ingredient namely the acetic acid to achieve a usable percentage for common household needs. In this experiment however, the ideal concentration of acetic acid in the common vinegar must be determined through the approach of laboratory experiment namely through tilration.

In this experiment, determining the concentration percentage of acetic acid in common vinegar solution will be measured and determined through particularly separating the two main components in the mixture namely the acetic acid and the water. From the experiement that has been incurred, the balanced neutralization allowed to provide data that showed the density of the vinegar solution. In relation to this particular matter, it has been realized that 4-5% of acetic acid has been found in the solution. With the said exploration, it has also been realized that the acidic concentration of the element has at least 0.83 moles with a pH Level of 2.4.

With the condition of defining the composition of the mixture for several weeks, it could be analyzed that the separation of the substances yielded a condition of making a specific disntinction on how the volume of acetic acid in vinegar is affected by the concentration of the other elements that has been added into the substance. With the reactions noted, it could be realized that the concentration  of the elements depend on the combination that each element has towards each other.
