Background
A $300,000 fund is to be distributed to two specific organizations that exist for a cause. These organizations are to receive 50% each of the said total amount to be distributed. Choosing the right organization to support is a crucial part of this decision. Considerably, it could be noted that the assumption on how the organization deals with the majority of the issues that the society has to contend with is one of the criteria being given attention to in relation to this particular decision. This presentation then hopes to provide information on five of the most promising organizations to be supported by the fund that needs to be distributed accordingly.
Charities:
Red Cross Foundation: the Red Cross foundation is obviously an international organization that supports the healthcare needs [specifically blood requirements] of those who are in need and yet cannot afford as much to acquire the said substance. Apart from this obvious function in the society, the organization also supports communities especially during times when they are struck with natural tragedies and social chaos. This organization is likely to receive direct 50% amount of the total contribution being distributed because it is one of the first choices to be the recipient of the said funding.
The organization does boast a huge source of financing from different organizations around the globe, nevertheless, the desire of the deceased to support the organization that best provides attention to the needs of the people in the most comprehensive manner make it a top choice for receiving financial assistance from the individual owning the money.
A Kid Again (http://www.akidagain.org/site/PageServer): A kid again is a foundation for children who are afflicted by dangerous and deadly diseases. Through this foundation, the said children are given the chance to enjoy childhood amidst the challenge of living with an ailment that could take their lives anytime. Not only does this foundation aim to assist the children, it also hopes to give support to the parents and the families of the said individuals to cope up with the situation. At present, the organization is serving at least 1,685 families accords the United States and likely giving hope to at least 7,583 individuals in total. The organization currently tries to expand its effect for their beneficiaries through calling out for relative support from international partners. Gaining attention from the public through the internet has become a common campaign that the organization uses to collect the funding it needs to support the beneficiaries.
AARP Foundation (http://www.aarp.org/). The AARP foundation is aimed at creating possibilities of better living for those who are considered less fortunate in the society. This includes communities stricken by poverty as well as agencies giving assistance to individuals with healthcare issues and others who are already in their late age of living who needs direct financial support. The primary source of financing that the organization gets come from individual donations, corporal alliances and the funds they usually collect from some of their functions and presentations. As of now, it receives a four-star rating that proves its specific reliability especially when it comes to giving assistance to the members of the society most likely needing its assistance.
The Generosity Trust (http://www.thegenerositytrust.org/): This organization thrives in the desire of helping the society realize their capability of helping others through educating them on how to serve others through volunteering what they could share. Perhaps it is their time, some others could serve their effort and some even could provide monetary assistance to others. All these aspects of sharing what one has to those who might need it is a part of being generous and the organization hopes to empower everyone to be as generous as they could be to make the society a better living place. Giving financial assistance to support the projects of this organization entails to create a more specific source empowerment that the society needs to become more generous hence affecting others and helping the needy all at the same time.
A Place Called Home (http://www.apch.org/): Providing young individuals who are away from home a place to stay is the primary aim of this particular foundation. At present, the organization thrives under the support of general contributors that the organization gets from social networks and other internet ads they post online that usually gets attention of several users of the internet. Providing the youths a better choice in life and a better source of confidence, the children supported by the foundation are given a better life through training and education. Supporting this organization likely imposes the capacity of the owner of the funds to save the future as well.
Conclusion
What constitutes a good organization to support is the assumption of a group to become assistive of the cause for the welfare of a greater number of beneficiaries. Given that Red Cross is already a sure choice as a beneficiary of the donation, the other organization is expected to stand for the general goodness of the society especially serving the needs of the greater number of the society’s population. In this case, it could be that AARP or The Generosity Trust organization would likely get the attention of the team to decide on which charitable group to support.
