Pages: 1

Words: 280

Essay

Introduction

In today’s business environment, global project management represents an opportunity to explore new organizational strengths and opportunities that have not been used or identified in the past. This process supports organizational expansion into a global interface through expert leadership and guidance in order to achieve the desired performance outcomes.  This is accomplished through an understanding and acceptance of cross-cultural differences in order to ease communication challenges that may occur in global project management relationships.

Analysis

The process of establishing a new directive within an organization to expand global project management is critical to the success of the endeavor. This is best accomplished through the use of specific strategies that support the growth of the organization through its global project management efforts, such as improving cultural awareness and alleviating communication issues as best as possible. The transition to a global project management interface must be as seamless as possible in order to provide a means of improving the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of employees to make a valuable contribution to this strategy. Global project management encompasses many areas; therefore, it must be addressed by the organization through practical knowledge and experience as a means of sustaining a higher competitive advantage.

Conclusion

The concept of global project management requires an organization to identify its core strengths and to take the steps that are required to move forward and support a viable strategy that will influence the business and its global presence around the world. Organizations with a global focus are likely to sustain a higher competitive advantage if they are prepared to manage the challenges of cultural diversity and identity to ensure that the firm is successful in achieving a high level of growth and sustainability.
