Reaction Paper

In every organization, there are individuals who are responsible for all the changes that the organization goes through. These individuals often are the pioneers of all the changes and also are the implementers of such change programs. Because change is often accompanied by both desirable and undesirable effects in the way an organization operates in terms of its management styles and procedures, change is often made with resistance from members of the organization who feel that the change has not favored them. The agents of change in organizations are referred to by manner names depending on how the change has affected the way things are done in the organization. Any change in an organization however positive, justified, and realistic it can be has to meet some resistance by some members of the organization.

Not every change in organizational procedures is welcomed by the people in the organizations. People often affected by change, especially those negatively affected, always are looking for ways that they use to stop the changes that being introduced to the organization. The best way that this can be achieved is through attacking the pioneers of change in the organization rather than the changes. In some cases, the changes that are introduced in organizations may be positive but can still affect certain individuals working in a given department in the organization. For the affected individuals, bringing complaints of such matters to the management of the organization will not yield anything fruitful for them. The only avenue that they will get to release their frustration is by labeling the pioneers of the change in the organization. Every change in an organization also demands that people should be called for action through mobilization and convincing them to accept the ideas presented by change agents. Such actions lead to the change agent interacting with almost all members of the organization. Such interaction reveals and makes the change agent learn a lot about different members of the organization and their working procedures. Such secrecy is sometimes not known to other members of the organization and therefore resistance to change is always bound to occur.
