10 Causes of Homeless is a great source to use because of the manner in which it is able to discuss the reasons as to why there are so many homeless individuals in America today. While there are many individuals who might assume that homelessness is simply the result of not having a job or because of drug addiction, the source indicates that there are actually a variety of factors that go into the development of a homeless person. The source gives the following reasons for homelessness in the United States today: addiction, domestic violence, mental illness, job loss and underemployment, foreclosure, post-traumatic stress, throw away teens, relational brokenness, grief, and despair.
One cause that really stands out from the rest is relational brokenness. As explained by the primary source, there are a variety of homeless people in the United States who do not have the ability to trust or to have healthy relationships. Often times, this causes individuals to believe that they are not good enough to be the individual that they truly want to be. Because of this, the matter of homelessness not only deals with not being able to get a job, but also with the fact that homeless people are usually emotionally hurting inside.
This source has been able to open my eyes to a variety of things that are taking place in the United States at the moment and why they are taking place. The reason as to why this source is different from other sources is because of how it is able to get an inside view of why homeless people are forced to live the way they do. It goes without saying that if any of these causes were to be taken out of the equation, there would be a downfall in the number of homeless people that exist in the United States. Because of this, it is important to always keep in mind these causes of homelessness.

As opposed to the first source that was used, this source is able to give a fresh view as to why there are so many individuals that are homeless in the United States today. The reasons that the article lists for having so many individuals homeless are the following: foreclosure, poverty, eroding work opportunities, decline in public assistance, house, and other factors. One factors that should be taken into account here is the eroding work opportunities. It is because of these diminishing opportunities for people to obtain a steady job in the United States that there a variety of homeless people. Not only that, but the topic of job opportunities is always a big question in presidential elections, because it is evident that this is a problem. I believe that in order to solve this nationwide problem, there should definitely be even more dialogue about what is taking place and why it is taking place. Tackling these kind of issues do not leave room for miscommunication or misinterpretation and therefore promote a healthy way of dealing with issues at hand.
This article makes it is a point to list poverty as the first reason as to why there are so many individuals who are homeless in the United States. In essence, this underlying cause is intertwined with that of there not being enough job opportunities nowadays. It goes without saying that if there would be more job opportunities in the United States, there would be less poverty. Therefore, if a unique outtake is used on all of these reasons, it becomes clear that most of these reasons relate to each other. In my essay, then, it became a question of what the true underlying cause behind homelessness in the United States is. Although this is not an easy question to answer at times, it is important to keep in mind that if these causes would be deleted, there would ultimately be less homeless people.

This source is all about numbers. What is meant by this is that it uses statistics and facts to state the point that homelessness in the United States of America has become a problem in recent ages. Although the source is not able to provide a solution as to how homelessness can be solved, it certainly does a great job at being able to raise a lot of awareness for the people who are interested in solving the issue at hand. Not only that, but the article also explains how there are certain actions that should be taken in order to be able to backtrack the events that have been taking place in America in recent years.
I believe the reason as to why this article proves to be extremely helpful for my research paper is due to the wealth of information that it is able to provide. Without a doubt, the kind of facts that this article is able to provide one with is out of the charts. What is meant by this is that the source is an incredibly reliable one that is able to inform the general public about an ongoing epidemic that is taking place in the United States of America every single day. The problem with this is that there are not enough individuals who care enough and who are not considering that homelessness could affect their everyday lives. I truly believe that individuals will never be able to solve this problem because they do not truly realize just how difficult being homeless is. Unless all individuals were homeless at one point in their lives, they will not be able to understand what homelessness is like and what meeting strangers on the streets every day of one’s life is like. Because of this, it is important to consider the notion of being able to effectively empathize with individuals who may not have a home and at times be more than willing to give a helping hand when one is needed. Through this, homelessness can be eradicated from America.

This article proves to be incredibly useful, as it provides a new and refreshing perspective on the issue of homelessness. The first problem that the article recognizes is that of unaffordable housing. What this means is that there are not enough individuals in America today who are able to afford the expensive and luxurious houses that most Americans can have. Sure, there are other options, but, unfortunately, one of those options tends to be homelessness. The reason as to why this is surprising is because individuals always assume that the reason why homeless people are homeless is because they resorted to hard drugs at any point in their lives. What some people have to come to realize is that homeless people are, in fact, homeless simply because they did not get a good education or did not have as much opportunities as other individuals. Take the notion of a homeless woman who has a baby, for example. Clearly, this baby would not be afforded the exact same opportunities that a baby born from a wealthy family would be given. Because of this income inequality becomes a huge problem in the world today.
Truly, the article is able to recognize that there is no easy solution to homelessness in America, but it is able to see how homelessness has become a problem in the world today and how it is affecting the lives of the everyday American. Setting aside economic factors for a bit, the article also coincides with other articles in stating that there are other underlying causes of homelessness. There are things such as mental illness, drug addiction, and alcoholism. However, it is important to keep in mind that these individuals are hardly ever the majority. Moreover, even if these individuals were to represent the majority, just because an individual took a bad step at one point in his or her life, it does not mean that individuals should not be willing to help this person, as it could be you in that same spot someday.
