Words: 330

Essay

Motivating employees is a necessary factor for employers to uphold in order to increase the chances of the workers to provide quality work within the stipulated time and standards. Paying extra wages above the standard sums is a common motivational factor that employers use to encourage their workers to work diligently. As such, employers pay their workers in accordance to the quantity and quality of the work they complete (French 243). Some establishments go to the extent of paying less money for the least hardworking individuals than the most industrious employees who receive a higher pay.

Paying employees according to the amount of work done, the quality of the finished job and time used to finish it is a reasonable and valid method that employers apply. The business or employing entity relies on the clients, the services or goods they offer people for them to attain profits and adequate money to pay their workers. Therefore, the workers need to deliver more jobs in terms of goods and services to meet the demands of clients and consumers. Hence, when employees complete more work, the company gets more clients and generates enough money to cater for various companies such as wages and salaries (Furnham 298). Therefore, workers need to submit adequate work or supply enough services to warrant the company or employing entity enough money to cater for their expenses. It is just to pay workers according to the work they complete because their services and goods equal to the amount that the clients pay. Hence, workers who are slow in their work and submit substandard work are paid less money than their hard working counterparts. In addition, it is fair for companies and other employing entities to pay up bonuses to the highest performers among their employees in recognition of their hard work.
