Statistics should be interpreted with caution as they can be misleading; they can both lie and tell the truth. Statistics should be interpreted with caution as they can be misleading. Interpretation of any statistics after conducting a survey is a very vital process since important irrefutable facts are revealed concerning the issue under study which facilitates supporting of the intended plan. The process also facilitates for identification of relationships that exist between available statistics which in turn enhance a comprehensive understanding of the opinions of the respondents and thus giving a clear guide to a coherent decision making (Andrienko & Andrienko, 2005).

Interpretation of statics entails steps in summarizing the available results and placing the findings of the research in a much broader context that can be easily understood. Care is taken by involving a qualified analyst who presents the findings in a manner that is easily understood by the audience.

In this 21 century world, statistics play a very critical task in world development and poverty reduction. The importance of statistics is clearly identified in its use in design and stages of implementation of policy frameworks of countries. Statistics can be used to monitor progress in determining how the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) have been achieved by different countries Andrienko & Andrienko, 2005). Statistics which are reliable describe the reality of the people and on the ground. They can tell us where the people are poor, why they are poor, what their lives are like and so on. This kind of information provides evidence needed to come up with and monitor workable development policies. This is because it identifies where resources and drastic action is most needed and also gives us the ways by which progress can be tracked and know the real impact of the policies in place. Reliable and good statistics improve accountability and transparency in making policies which are crucial in good governance. Statistics can enable the electorate judge on the success of a particular government. Good statistics are therefore important in managing delivery of basic services effectively.

Success implementation of the results of the survey, which could be aimed at introduction of an innovative product in the organization is a factor of a structured as well as a documented approach in as far as the new product development is concerned. It therefore becomes prudent that a clear roadmap is provided which is the only way that facilitates successful development of the product (Theus & Urbanek, 2005). The aim of any organization in research is development of new products which is achieved through research. Consequently it is crystal clear that the findings obtained can be useless if statistics obtained are not interpreted with great caution. Developing countries lack capacity to produce and analyze statistics effectively this has led to poor policy implementation and lack of accountability for decisions from the governments and thus making then remain poor. As resources in the developing countries are scarce there is need for good statistics in order to ensure that available resources are utilized effectively. Analysis of any statics should therefore be a summary of the major characteristics in to a form that is easily understood based on the formulated hypothesis
