Islam’s Relationship With Non-Abrahamic Faiths, Book Review Example

Pages: 1

Words: 208

Book Review

Mona Siddiqui’s book describes in detail how people who are unfamiliar with the Qur’an can learn to use and understand the book as a religious text and as a guidebook for daily living. Siddiqui also describes how each part of the book has been used over time, as well as how it is interpreted by Muslims who live in different places around the world.

Following Muhammad is a much more complex book, one that offers great detail about the Muslim faith, and also about the history of Islam. Ernst’s book describes how the Muslim faith has adapted itself to different social and political movements over the centuries, and also explains why there is still such a great divide between Muslim nations and the West.

Both books have a lot to teach about Islam. Mona Siddiqui’s book can teach people who want to learn the details of the Islamic faith as they are derived directly from the Qur’an. One who chose to become a Muslim would find much useful information in this book. Carl W. Ernst’s book teaches about the Islamic faith as well, and goes into much more detail about how Islam has been practiced throughout history. Together, these two books offer a comprehensive look at the religion of Islam.
