Leave of Absence, Essay Example

I would like to send in this letter to ask for your permission for me to take a leave between the days of June 10 to July 17. The reason for the said leave of absence is my seven year –old son’s condition. He has been recently diagnosed to be suffering from congenital heart disease and I simply want to be there to take care of him and comfort him during this crucial part of his growth and lifetime.

Being a CNR myself, I feel the need to be there beside my son. The process of treatment and other medical operations that need to be considered for his condition are critical and I want to be there when such events happen. I would like to make sure that he feels comfortable and cared for by his own mom; as I know this would make his recovery faster.

I would make sure that before I leave, all my responsibilities are well taken care of and that no other problems are to be caught in the middle of this absence. Turning over my duties to the individual/s assigned to take over my place would be completed accordingly to avoid any particular work issue later on.

I would love to come back to my job after all matters have been attended to. Please kindly consider my request; it would mean a lot to me if the consideration could be extended accordingly.
