Management Procedures In Bringing A Compromise To Closure

When there’s a conflict in the workplace relating Human Resource issues, definitely the Executive V. P should intervene with Mediation. For instance liked the issue happened at Levver Corporation, the Director Brenda Bennett Of Human Resources learned two white male interns were hired directly by the Department Of Engineering. The interns are friends of Joe Barnes son; Manager of Electrical Engineering was order immediately by Stokes to hired them, and never went through Human Resources. Nevertheless, Jim Lexington Head Of The Intern Program and Bennett subordinate informed the Engineering Department that it will be a wait for the hiring process.

When Bennett accepted the Director’s position, she inherited an overwhelming of dead weight, one of them is the financial budget. Bennett probably felt it was unethical that Stokes didn’t inform her, even she did made attempts to him about the issue. According to Stokes the Engineering Department was extremely behind on their project.  Although the interns were working out well, Bennett felt that Stokes should had consult her about the hiring. Probably Stokes male chauvinist attitude being intimidated by a formidable women or felt pity due to what her predecessor left they’re burdens in Human Resources. However, Bennett informed the Executive Vice President Samantha (Sam) Pinder of Finance for an intervention. Pinder solution between Bennett and Stokes who they don’t work for her directly is Mediation.

A resolution in compromising their dispute who Stokes was aware of it. The main issue for this compromise is to resolved the discrepancies in the Human Resource Main Office where Bennett manages and operates. This issue could have been resolved if Bennett and Stokes agree to meet  and discuss why he need immediate hiring two interns. Well it didn’t turn out that way and hopefully Mediation will resolve the problem. First there will be a statement form both parties involving the dispute who happens be Bennett and Stokes.  Since Bennett called and inform Pinder about the situation. She will explain her statement first about the barriers she faced when taken over as Director of Human Resources. After she completes her statement than Stokes will explain his reason why the Director of Human Resources wasn’t inform about the hiring of two interns. Hopefully, the meeting won’t escalate   into hostility which lead to not reconciliation. Then Bennett will identified that if hiring anyone still they have to go to Human Resources and who she also dealing with the problems in the budget. In the meeting Bennett should address that Stokes hiring interns without going through proper procedures adds more burden on Human Resource. Stokes in the meeting should address that the Engineering Department has been behind on their project for long period of time and need to hire help in bringing the production up to speed. Okay if the problems are identified then Bennett and Stokes should come up with an agreement together. Suppose Bennett would agree that the interns are working out well in the Engineering Department and suggest to a solution that the interns can only work during seasonal. For instance like the summer or during semester breaks. If Stokes agrees then a negotiation is compromise between the two parties. If either or both parties haven’t agreed, the reconciliation is summarize until establishing a follow-up meeting. The reconciliation is proceed until the parties will come up with a solution in compromising an agreement to be record.
