Subject: Internet use in the workplace

Recently researchers found out that inappropriate Internet use in the workplace is one of most crucial factors that decrease employees’ productivity. Our Company strongly encourages employees to limit using Internet resources to performing their workplace duties. Those workers who will be found to misuse Internet access regularly will be subject to disciplinary actions. Disciplinary measures are to be defined in each given case, and can be up and including dismissal.

The principles of workplace World Wide Web use our Company supports and promotes are given below:

1. Internet should not be used for harassment, assault, defaming, bullying, or disclosure of any personal information about staff members or customers
2. Internet should not be used for disclosure of any confidential information that is the property of the Company, or sharing any educational resources or internal tools used within the Company without prior approval of the Company
3. Materials and software downloaded should be used in accordance with copyright law.
4. Usage of any cracked or stolen software is strictly prohibited within the Company both for personal and professional purposes.
5. Accessing, downloading or storing of any pornographic material is strictly prohibited within the Company.
6. The Company reserves the right to monitor the employees’ use of the Internet in the workplace. Please be informed that employees’ browsing history and usage of messengers will not be private.

We strongly believe that Internet in the workplace should be used for professional purposes solely. Employees who violate the principles listed above will be subject to disciplinary actions.
