Describe ways in which MS Excel can be used by a manager of an organization as a tool for interpreting data.

MS Excel is a comprehensive tool that provides specific data under a specific category. This aspect of presentation does create a more responsive identification of direct information that is needed for a particular research. Most often than not, the tabulated presentation of data in MS Excel serve as a summarized version of a longer report. Looking over through what an Ms Excel file-data provides shall give a good sense of interpretation on what the report is really about. The presentation of data in table-form also offers a better way of finding what is being searched for easily as desired. Additional information about a data posted through the document simply needs ot be asked for.

What are the major benefits to using the statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) software?

Statistical data specifically provides a crucial presentation on the measurement of the impact that particular issues in the community are making in the society right now. Considerably, having an SPSS software to interpret the reports on social sciences gives a clearer mathematical and logical description on what the issues are and how much serious they are when it comes to defining the current situation of the society.

What potential legal or ethical issues could arise if the information gained in a survey was used to create an ideal profile of characteristics that the company looked for when hiring employees?

Profiling from data-sources such as survey reports is at some point bias. Given that surveys are handled to provide a general overview of a particular group of people, these data cannot be simply imposed as a description of one person alone. In a way, discriminative issues on ethical and legal terms could arise if such position on defining an individual is carried by a company when hiring potential employees into their organization.
