The example provided demonstrates alignment. In short, the problem statement could be summarized as uncovering a need for the development of project management strategies related to implementing best practices for virtual project team governance. The author suggests that since this knowledge is in place for physical business practices, it should be developed to accommodate the internet setting. The purpose statement matches the information put forth by the problem statement because it explains that to resolve this problem, the author will identify which strategies are relevant to help resolve this disparity. Furthermore, an explanation of how this will be done is provided. As a consequence, it is apparent that the goals set forth by these first two sections of the paper are in alignment because the first section explains a gap and knowledge while the second component puts forth a plan to close this same gap.

It is apparent that clear framework is used to guide the research process. The research question listed at the end of this excerpt states, “What are the business and project management strategies relevant to best practices in virtual, project management, team governance?” An individual that has only read the first two sections of the paper should be able to understand that this would be the case. It is likely that the study produced by this individual achieved the goal that he or she was set forth to accomplish because of the sense of consistency that the first part of the paper emanates. Based on this example, it appears that my own project is aligned, but I may benefit by incorporating clearer language like this student does in this piece.
