Every organization has its set of rules and guidelines that serve to give directions on how to carry out the day-to-day activities. These directives also called policies need to be followed in all occasions if smooth operations are to be realized. For instance, some companies hold that customers visiting the business organization for any of the reason should not be reimbursed for the expenses costs they incur. This work seeks to establish the negative effects of violating such policies and how to handle related circumstances.

In this case, where one needs to reimburse a customer expense it is essential to note that this only serves to violate the organizations policies. Choosing to comply with such could imply facing tough consequences that may even imply loosing job in the extreme case. For this reason, it will be crucial to seek knowing why the agent holds such an approach. This is the case as the agent is a chief representative to the organization. For this reason, he needs not only be well versed of the company policies but also take a significant role to ensure they follow them to the latter.

The second approach will be to consult with the organizations executives especially if the agent keeps insisting on the same. Since the visitor expressed interest in meeting the executives, making them aware of this idea will prove simpler. To this point, the possible approaches have been made leaving the step to be taken on the decision reached by the executives.

Policies serve to influence a sense of discipline to all parties in the organization. It is thus essential that all aspects involved be followed at all times and every occasion to maintain the organizations integrity.
