There have been complaints from some of the employees and clients who have not renewed their contracts with the branch. Employees are claiming that their creative contributions are being rejected, and there is no collaborative team for them to work with. Four clients have not renewed their contracts while others post negative reviews about the branch, causing a reduction in profits. Part C

Problems

One of the problems affecting the Roanoke branch is the lack of a collaborative team among the employees. This has limited cooperation among the employees; hence it is difficult for them to work together in fulfilling customer expectations. At other times employees are required to work for extra time with no compensation. Another problem affecting the branch is that clients have complaints which are making them not renew contracts. Other clients are leaving negative reviews about the branch on social media sites.

Facts and Causes of Challenges in Roanoke Branch

The lack of a collaborative team in the Roanoke Branch has been influenced by the art directors and account executives not considering the input of graphic designers and copywriters. They end up altering work produced by the designers and copywriters, thus causing dissatisfaction. Employees are being required to work for extra time without compensation since the branch is not evaluating the effect of accepting new accounts on its current project workload. Clients are choosing not to renew their contracts since they are dissatisfied with the services they receive from the branch.

Impact and Effects

Employees’ input not being considered in the workplace has caused them to lose morale to the extent that some of them are considering quitting. Three graphic designers and four copywriters have already threatened to quit. Employees do not have the motivation to keep on working. An art director and an account manager have left the branch since they were not being considered in the workplace. The negative reviews that clients are sharing on various social media sites are affecting the branch’s profit.

Solutions

One of the solutions that the branch can implement is compensating employees for all the extra hours worked. This will make them feel appreciated and have the motivation to keep on working. The branch should also consider changing the creative team and the account managers to have individuals who will promote teamwork and value the input of other people. Another solution to help the branch to maintain its effectiveness is performing proper evaluations of new clients to identify the effect they are likely to have on the existing project workload.

Illustration

The type of illustration I would choose to represent numbers related to causes or impacts is a bar graph. A bar graph makes it easier to compare sets of data among various groups. In this case, one can easily identify the relationship that exists between the two plotted axis. The illustration also helps to offer a clarification of trends better than tables can do.
