Pages: 1

Words: 308

Essay

While trying to live a fulfilling life, one endeavors to make good decisions. However, more often than not, the decisions are not always accurate to the core, leading to situations that hinder one from realizing certain potentials. As a freshman, I did not listen to upperclassmen on advice about academics. This was a decision that led to my poor performance in academics.

The idea of not listening to upperclassmen led to my poor results at the freshman level. I ignored the fact that they understand such things as the difficulty of exams and how to prepare for such eventualities. Equally, the upperclassment had enough information on the best way to study to avoid failing in the exams. However, since I did not know that they had enough information they could offer that was helpful, I dismissed their advice. This led to my poort results leading to a low GPA. While applying to colleges, I realized how useful their advice was for me. Since then, I consider them wisemen, since they had useful information that was helpful.

Following the occurrence, I have decided never to ignore advice from people, especially the older ones. This has improved my focus and attention to  drtails from people. Nonetheleß, considering that I cannot reverse the second tyatoob, I have decided to do everythig right to compensate on whatever did not work according to expectations  I gained some new energy because I anticipated a change in my life. What I learned as a result of the bad decision is that making a bad decision for yourself only makes things worse, as others continue with their lives uninterrupted. I did not listen to the advice because I thought my decisions were good enough. However, having seen the importance of thinking because of making any decisions and advice from older people, I have learned an important life lesson.
