Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Diagnosis, Case Study Example

Mister Mister, a middle-aged man over 50 years old, has been indicted for possession of alcohol while on duty. Mister works as a pilot. According to the indication report, Mister did not comply the FAA regulations on the provision of Flight Emergency Protocols with a provision of landing the plane in the designated marked lane in which Mister lost two flight attendants in crash. One of the flight attendant is Mister’s long-time friend and companion. After learning of flight attendants death, Mister became depressed, resentful, and angry with himself. Mister became restless as he stayed in his home for many days, became tired of his phone ringing off the hook all day, received 127 messages, and he felt overwhelmed by the pressure of indictment and death of his companion and experiencing recurrent nightmares and flashbacks of the impact. He refused to eat his leftover unwrapped snack junkies or pick up a decent meal from fast food restaurant as his flight colleague observed. His colleagues claimed that Mister had refused to return phone calls. Some days, he would stroll on familiar streets as a drunkard. While window shopping, he would stare at the items off the rack reminding him of his days with his companion on the very streets. Other days, Mister would drive around the city, just to avoid newsmakers reporters, and bystanders surrounding by Mister’s house. While driving, he’d looked up into the sky flying over into the horizon mixed feelings came back for him— Driving reckless, more than angry than resentful, barked at passerby cars, as his colleagues fears of his reckless behavior.
