Words: 557

Essay

The following is a memo assessing the group performance of the Wisconsin Register of Deeds Association (WRDA) website usability report project. The Usability Report analysis identified methods towards website improvements. The report provided suggestions for modernizing the website and improving the architecture to increase functionality.  After a full assessment of the site was taken, recommendations for methods that could be used to enable the site to compete with competitors and it was found these same recommendations  can be put in place to improve the site’s overall visual appeal, improving issues with the font style and backgrounds to make them more aesthetically appealing. Other aspects of the website functionality are considered such as the potential benefits of restructuring navigation tab reducing web page uniformity and fixing broken links.  The quality of this report can be attributed to a group effort. All members except for Andre worked on this project. Within this memo each team member, including myself is provide an overall rating for his or her contributions to the group based on a 1 to 5 scale with 1 representing “very poor”, 2 representing “poor”, 3 representing “neutral” 4 representing “good” and very representing “very good.” The memo concludes with an overall assessment of the quality of the final project. The following breaks down the performance evaluation of the team.

Everybody except for Andre has done work on this project. I personally didn’t receive credit on one part of the assignment due to a family issue but other than that I took part in all other aspects of the project and made my contribution to the project and the group. I also participated actively in all team meetings. The group as a whole did an amazing job as well. No parts were missed and all members were diligent about meeting their project obligations.  Matthew Evans, as a team member, was dependable, prompt, and courteous and he contributed his equal share of work to the final project. Mathew also actively participated in all project meetings. Based on Mathews efforts I would give his personal performance a 5 rating. Yaqi Huang was equally reliable, on time with deadlines, and polite as a group member; he also contributed his fair share to all phases of the project and participated actively in meetings, earning him a rating of 5 as well. Kristin Mil always answered during conference calls demonstrating her dependability; she was also polite in all instances and courteous and prompt, earning her a rating of a 5. Finally,  Mercedi Townsend was dependable, prompt, and courteous as a group member, contributed her fair share to all phases of the project, and she participated actively in meetings. Merci received a rating of a 5. Out of all members I feel I am the only one that deserves a 4.5 rating as I missed part of the project due to family issues. Overall I would give the project a 5 rating rating as we were very effective at meeting the intended objective. of providing a usability report for the website. I base this on the fact that the final project effectively provided a list of priority recommendations for website improvement, breaking all potential efficiency modifications into categories that can easily be implemented to update the website as needed. The report offered by this project could easily be utilized to remodel the and restructure website architecture.
