1: Who was your favorite character in Ramayana and why?

Rama, the main protagonist of the story, specifically shows a distinct way of considering his position as the avatar of Vishnu. Relying on his strong virtues, Rama always tries to choose what is right among all the situations that he needs to contend with. Relatively, His character shows a distinct understanding on how the culture of Hinduism strongly depends on the concept of virtue and character.

2: Give your second favorite and tell what you liked about the character.

Sita, the wife of Rama, followed the path of her husband. Being a loyal avatar of Lakshmi, Sita also strongly depends on virtue as a primary presentation of who she is and what she stands for. Even during the times of her capture and imprisonment, Sita never lost hope on her husband; she remained loyal to him and strongly attested to the fact that he would come and rescue her from bondage.

3: New Year Baby: Shocheata was considered lucky because she was born ‘in the middle of it all’. She was the supposed hope that was being waited for. Her conception which was because of the unison of her mother and father [who were from different sectors of the society] was considered as a sign for a better future not only for their family but to that of their community in Cambodia.

4: Animated Sections: The animation on how Socheana’s mother enticed the attention of the guards for her to be able to escape and the animation on how her father remembered the days of being in the camp were definitely able to paint a clear picture on what her parents needed to go through to be able to survive life and find each other in the end to create a better family. These animations explained the situations better through the condition of defining the past of the parents that established the current stability of their ‘new’ formed family.

5: Define the Chinese concept of Yin and Yang. Which is considered more female and more male?

Yang is often defined to be more female, while Yin was considered to be more male in nature. The reason for this is that it is believed that it is much easier for women to do what is right because of their motherly instincts. On the other hand, men were more aggressive and are easily dragged on by their desires rather than being strongly held within the limits of their principles.
