Question 1. How would you, in the most concise way possible, differentiate the three Abrahamic religions by their cosmologies?
The three Abrahamic religions include Judaism, Christianity, and Islam and had their differences in cosmologies as Judaism is the oldest and it has a holy book known as Torah, then Christianity which has its holy book as the Bible, and Islam has the Qur’an.

The three religions, Christianity is the way to heaven by the salvation of Jesus Christ who is the Messiah and God and will come back again. Judaism aware of the coming of Jesus Christ rejected Him and His divinity and believes He was the last prophet and the Messiah is yet to come. Muslims believe the revelations to Mohammed were actual words spoken to him by God directly and they don’t believe on the coming of the Messiah.
Question 3. We discussed, at length, the fault lines in Christianity and Islam. What do you think the similar internal structural fault lines are in Judaism?
In essence, Judaism is not a Monolith religion. Judaism was considered a rational religion; they considered not those who wavered from Yahweh and were eliminated.
Question 4. What do you see as the most valuable legacies that the monotheistic religions gained from contact with ancient polytheisms that we studied (Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome)? Be specific.
The monotheistic religions gained ideas of social organization, rural/urban developments such as hierarchy and job specializations and even literacy which made them being thought of as sophisticated and civilized and all of this was acquired from the ancient polytheisms.
Question 5. What legacies from the ancient world were cut off with the rise of the monotheisms, and why was this legacy a loss to the world? Be specific.
The different gods worshipped such as Inanna and Dumuzi were discarded for one single God who was to be worshipped and obeyed. Ancient periods such as the Sumerian era, Akkadian period, Dynasty of Ur, Babylonian period, and Chaldean dynasty 609-538 BCE are left for history.
Question 6. What are the most compelling, intriguing, or puzzling aspects, to you, of the lecture and powerpoint on modern Judaism? What makes these subjects interesting to you?
Modern Judaism represented a rational religion, and the rise of European`s anti-Semitism which involved the mass killing of Jews were considered a condemned and rejected people by the Germans. The French Anti-Semitism considered the Jews to be controlling too much economically, being in an anti-Christian religion, and were Semitic.
The branches of Judaism worldwide is fascinating with the principle branches of Orthodox who particularly adhere to all the laws of Torah, Conservatives who follow the customs but to a limited extent, and the Reform Judaism who preserve the absolute essentiality of Judaism; the monotheism and ethical tradition.
Question 7. What are the most compelling, intriguing, or puzzling aspects, to you, of the lecture and powerpoint on modern Islam? What makes these subjects interesting to you?
The modern Islam believe in Prophet Muhammad who was a talented businessman, never learnt how to read and write but also a devout seeker after the truth prior to receiving the revelation of the Qur`an. In Islam, there is only one miracle where the premisesonly revealed to Muhammad by Angel Jibril which represents the final revelation. The first five converts in Islam included Muhammad, Khadijah; his first wife, Ali; Muhammad`s cousin, Abu Bakr, and Zaid/Bilal.
Question 8. What are the most compelling, intriguing, or puzzling aspects, to you, of the lecture and powerpoint on modern Christianity? What makes these subjects interesting to you?
In Christianity, Jesus of Nazareth is conceived of a virgin woman Mary who was betrothed to Joseph. He performs miracles from turning water into wine to His resurrection and ascent to heaven. It is during the Pentecost that the Holy Spirit who Jesus promised as the helper after He left earth descended upon the disciples and they all spoke in tongues none of them understanding their new ability.
